How long can I store Tires ?

I found a good offer of Toyo Tires RA1.
How long can I store these tires if I buy some sets ?
Best way to long term store tires ?

I have heard on this forum that tires have an overall life of about 7-8 years from date of manufacture, regardless if they are stored or used. I have read that in places outside this forum as well, BTW.

So, if you look at the stamp on the sidewall about when the tire was made, you have an idea.

I have always heard life span is 5 years ..

Shelf life mentioned doesn't apply to R compounds, which do not like heat or humidity, nor UV rays. If a cool dark place where mushrooms roam is avail you might be able to keep stored for two yrs/ seasons and they might keep their sticky nature.

Put them in black garbage bags too. I heard it will help while they are in storage.
