Anyone have photos of red upholstery with black carpeting?

I recently purchased a Peru Red 76 Targa with red upholstery and red carpeting
Paint and upholstery is almost perfect but the carpeting needs to be replaced. I think there is too much red and I want to replace with black carpets. Does anyone have any pictures with Red seats and black carpets?

My car before I re-upolstered the seats, looks a lot better (cleaner) now

Finally, back in the game!

Thanks Dennis, I like the color combination! Do you know if that was the original carpet color? Nice car too.

I agree with the others, too much red. IMO black carpet would look nice. Very nice looking mid year Targa.

You could do what done on mine...Just g3t a set of black floor mats to make the interior less red. Cheap and easy...

Here's mine:

^^Yes. And look closely and you can see the red "Porsche" script. Makes for a nice contrast that matches the rest of the interior.

I'm guessing the carpet was replaced at some time, I don't have the history of the car so no idea as to original color. The rest of the red leather appears to be original and 34 years old.
My dash top should be red leather as well, but it was in rough shape so just has a cap on it for now. I like it black so I will go that way when I pony up for a new one!
Your car is a real beauty with that exterior color.

For that like new bright red look try this. A bottle of bright red Rit dye. Use a small plastic food container for your pot and use a scrub brush to brush it into your carpets. Plastic gloves will save your hands and a rag will suffice to get the excess off surrounding trim. Bye, bye, years of sun fade!
