Question Alignment & Corner Balance question

Can I get a 4 wheel alignment & then corner balance afterwards.

Or does the corner balance affect the alignment?

Basically I have a choice of alignment shops that can do the work within the week, I can then either corner balance myself with scales or the waiting time is around a month for the nearest suspension tuner to balance & align.

I need an alignment because I've upgraded the tie rods & rear bushings. I don't think I'll have any tread left if I wait a month.

Thanks,
Jon

As far as I know, the procedure is 1/set desired ride height, 2/corner balance and then 3/align.

Do them together if possible. These procedures are not cheap and they are all effected with alterations.

Definitely do the alignment last.

Many alignment shops give you a 1 year guarantee on the alignment. You can take it back during that year if it goes out of alignment and they fix it for free.

Take it in now, then take it back after the other work is complete.

Or corner balance yourself. I did mine and it is not too tough. Here is a thread about it.

Or align yourself now to get it close, then take it in to the pros after you have the work done.

If you do a search I am sure you can find threads about setting toe and camber at home using string.

Ted,

I have an appointment with Steve Alarcon and he quoted me at:

$150 - alignment
$150 - corner balance

He did mention it will be slightly higher if he needs to adjust my ride height. Too bad you live in Florida. I've read on here that Steve is the man!
