Glovebox adjustment help
Hi All,
My glovebox appears to be out of adjustment, as it rubs on the kneepad. What's the best way to fix this problem? Thanks, Adam

Here is a writeup on a previous thread on a project I did to replace the centre dash trim. There is a bit about adjusting the glovebox door. In short, you cant really adjust it unless you use washers as spacers.!
3. Glovebox door. Removing this is optional. I did the job with the door in place, but later looked into removing it or at least working out how it comes free as I wanted to adjust the vertical positon of the door to reduce the gap between the kneepad. The door is held on with four bolts on the lower edge of the sub-dash. There are two facing you and two behind the leading edge. These can be removed with a 8mm spanner. Note that with the door removed, there doesn’t seem to be much room to move the vertical position. I used a couple of washers later to drop it a bit. However the bolt holes don’t allow much play unless you enlargen them with a drill. |
