My '84 has a leather dashboard (option?)

that has severely dried out and cracked, and I want to fix it. I don't particulary want to replace it with another leather one, since it seems a bad idea to use leather on a dashboard because of the sun it gets exposed to. I'd like to replace it with a vinyl one if I can. I only need to replace the upper section (mid and lower are OK). The problem is that the upper and lower sections are a dark blue color, and the only top section replacements I can find are black. Does anyone know if (and where) I could find a dark blue vinyl upper dash? |

I did this on my front passenger seat. It came out pretty good. A little different that what I thought. It turned out ALOT smoother than I anticipated. Meaning, the natural leather graing is not on the seat anymore because I used Leatheriques crack filler almost all over the seat, bad move. I should have used it ONLY on the cracks and rips. I have pics if your interested, email me. ------------------ Nick Hromyak '85 Carrera 7 & 9 Fuchs Havin' Fun in Sacramento |

You might consider using a leather dye to make the lower pieces black.
