1973 A/C question

I have a 1973 911T Targa with a 3.0 and considering a 3.2. We are getting married in August and want to drive the car from delaware to Monterey Ca. We plan on getting married in Monterey and then checking out car week. I have what looks to be dealer option air conditioning in the car now. But the car is missing the compressor. I am think of putting a 3.2 in the car, because I feel the fuel injection on a 3.2 is more reliable then the CIS on my 3.0. Plus it gives me a good excuse to go bigger. Any ideas about air?

Thanks all
Scotty

Can't address the CIS vs. the later Motronic, however on the AC let's describe what you have now:

1) Does the car have a 2 condenser system, deck lid and front ?
2) Does the vent panel have 4 louver's or 6 ?
3) Color of the car?
4) Do you have a budget for the AC system, and are you handy to do most of the work?
