How do I disassemble this distributor? '77 930.

I've got the gear off and the circlip under the rotor as well as the screw inside the rotor shaft under the felt, but although loose I cant get the shaft out what am I missing?

Circlip under the rotor does not need to be off.

Push on a piece of wood, or use wood between hammer and shaft end. Make VERY sure you have no tiny bits of scrap from drilling or otherwise that might be causing interference as you move the shaft out from the body of the distributor proper. There is nothing holding that shaft/plate assembley in at all except for the interference fit of bushes (two) to shaft.

WD-40 might help push out any particulates. Gently rotate and push/tap.

Well for what it's worth thats not how mine comes apart. Well maybe I should say it does, as many "parts" came out of it when tapping on the shaft end but not the shaft itself ofcourse that likes where it is and refuses to move. This thing is toast I get the feeling finding one is gonna be a riot as well. BOHICA
