Oil line fix?

When I removed these a few years ago I had to cut them to get them off. I hit the threads on the thermostat and the lines have leaked a little bit from those spots. I'm putting everything back together and I cannot get the lines off the other side of the thermostat. I have a extra thermostat to replace the old one. That also has the long lines stock on and I cannot get them off either. I was thinking of bonding the lines back on to the thermostat with something like JB weld on the threads and gunk-ed on around the ends of the lines so they wont leak.. Maybe a few years down the line replace all of the lines with something nicer. There are still threads on the thermostat and the lines in question are good. Just would like to spread out the expenses over a longer time frame.

Like I said there are still threads on the thermostate and they still thread together really well. It's just that I cut a small grove that allows a very small amount of oil to get by. Enough gets by to allow some sweating of lines and a few drips.

The threads don't make a seal.
It's the mating surface inside that seals the connection, you didn't put any antisize on them? They need to be clean and perfect.

oil lines

the lines that I was able to separate I did put anti seize on. They are the ones that I could get apart with out much problems. Only the lines that I cannot get apart are the ones still together. When I moved them from the other car I couldn't get them apart so I moved them together. So were are they making the seal then. At the point were they are the tightest. Why am I getting the drips then?

This area makes the seal, it needs to be clean, no antisize.

This is my thermostat and the left connection in the picture was beyond help (almost).
