Carrera chain tensioner/timing gasket questions.
I have a 2.7 liter engine that needs timing cover gaskets. It has Carrera chain tensioners. What all do I need to know to replace the gaskets in the timing chain covers. I've done this before, just not on the Carrera tensioner equipped cars. I was planning to get the Nylock and gasket kit from Pelican, an oil filter, oil, and muffler gaskets. What else is needed and what do I need to do to get the oil lines free from the covers. Thanks in advance.

You'll probably want new crush washers (aka "sealing rings") for the banjo style fittings (aka "sealing rings"), as well as a few spare o-rings for where the tensioners extend through the chain box covers. The latter are fairly easy to damage so having a few spares isn't a bad idea.
The o-rings are part number 999-701-690-40-M17 . The large sealing rings are 900-123-005-00-M131 (I think). Not sure about the part number for the smaller sealing rings.
