Please help me ID these seats....

Hi guys,

could anyone please help me to ID these seats? They are marked Scheelmann on the seat back, and my guess is that they are late 70:ies or early 80:ies. The condition is ok, and it is a pair. They are really comfortable with nice support.

Sorry for the horrible picture, the car is parked in an underground garage without light.

Are there any value to them?

Thanks,

Johan

Thanks, you definately put me in the right direction! After searching the internet I think they are Scheel 401 S Rallye.

So, are these considered "cool"? They are mounted in a -74 carrera, so they have to be pretty cool for me to keep yhem instead of the originals....

Regards,

Johan

Yes, they are cool. They are probably most desireable to the BMW guys, mostly 2002's though you will find them in the CS coupes as well.

It appears you have two different models there-the side bolsters are different. You also should see where the tilt function is. I just put a pair in my CS coupe and the tilt is on the left and the recline is on the right on both seats, which I think means I have two drivers seats.

The original tabbed sliders are valuable, so take a look at what you have. In terms of value for the seats, a search here and on bmw2002faq.com will give an idea. They are not "big money" like the Recaros.

If you are selling, send me some more pictures. Mine are mismatched too, so it would be cool to make a matching pair. todd.simpson (at) comcast.net
