3.0 (SC) distributor re-curved
I'm looking at going to Webers on a 3.0 (SC) engine. Who has had their distributor re-curved and by whom? It's a track car, so no I don't want to keep the CIS.

Have you considered electro-motive crank fire? Thats what I use on my 2.7 w/webers.

I followed Bruce Anderson's recommendation for Barry at IAE (International Auto Electric) in Detroit - 313-532-5350 or 313-532-3169 to recurve a new distributor for my '73 911. The old distributor seemed fine, but I was getting a lot of popping and spitting through the carbs that I was unable to cure by working with the carbs. The new distributor has solved ALL my problems and the car runs better than ever. Just be prepared to give Barry the details on your engine - what cams, any p&c changes, what you plan on using the car for, etc., and I'm sure you'll be happy with his work. If only I had known how much of an improvement the recurved distributor would make I'd have done it YEARS ago.
