I'm sorry if that makes you feel uncomfortable about the current shifter that has been in production for 8 years.

I don't have an issue with you not supporting a product that hasn't been in production for some time; I think that's a normal business decision.

But I do have concern with a vendor in a custom service role answering a customer in a public forum in such a curt manner. Its speaks volumes beyond the situation at hand.

Certainly: its your business and you're free to do as you please - but as a consumer, I do have a choice in not only what I buy, but who I'm buying from. That speaks volumes to me.

Do you really think he took the time to post a thread on a forum saying he's tried to email you multiple times without success, without first doing so? Your initial response was something like: "Never got an e-mail from you - they are answered in minutes usually." That wouldn't fly in my business. And especially for small brands (v. GM), customer service is paramount!

I will tell you that every time I have Contacted James, he has gotten back to me very quickly & gone above & beyond. He is one of the good guys!

Plenty of Hurst shifters out there, maybe you can find a stalk that works. Good luck.
Don't forget to check junk mail.

I've dealt with James quite a bit in the past, both as a customer and as an event organizer soliciting donations and he's always gone above and beyond what is/was necessary. I know that you'll be happy with the service and the shifter once you get it in your car!

Sorry, I can only do what I know, speak with perfect honesty. If I got the email (I see all emails that come into the business) I would have replied as soon a possible. Not in my charater to "spin" an answer.

JWest makes the best stuff and supports our little cars. That is why I bought his complete rod/linkage kit for my 914-6 and will gladly install a beautiful JWest shifter in my car. Thank you James for making stuff for our addiction.
