Should my 930 whistle?
I've had my 1986 Turbo for about ten days now. Up until now, the turbo made a 'wooshing' noise when it was under boost. Yesterday, when I picked the car up at a tint shop, the turbo started to 'whistle' under boost. Boost seems the same.
Which noise is normal? Thanks in advance.

Only under boost, or during normal driving too?

You have pressure-leak somewhere...check out rubber hoses going to various parts...like one going between intercooler (if you have one) and wastegate, one going to distributor etc.
Whisttle is usually heard when you have a crack on a hose....

Sorry, only under boost.
It is the turbo, and it sounds like a leak. I will get the car up on a lift and take a look today.
