911 Front Wheel Hub- Brake Rotor Bolt Spacing?

Anybody know offhand what's the bolt spacing for the 5-bolt circle of the brake rotor for the 89-earlier cars? I tried measuring it a few different ways via some "industry standard" methods

MRW - How to measure bolt pattern

and I can't get repeatable results. What's the actual design dimension?

Thanks,
Kevin

I knew somebody would come back with the lug nut spacing....... Thanks, I knew that.

So you're saying the rotor bolt circle is the same? I hadn't realized that the bolt circles are the same exact diameter. Slap me silly and call me stoopid!

to be honest, it is not quite making sense to me, kevin. what is the difference between "rotor bolt circle" and lug nut spacing? I knew you were not looking for my previous answer.

Actually bolt circle and lug spacing can be considered interchangeable terms. The rotor bolt circle is mounting circle for the smaller M8 bolts that are "between" the lug studs. The rotor bolt circle is that which traces the smaller bolts that are recessed into the hub in the above picture.

Thanks for the replies.

I always rotate my rotors 180 degrees and then install. I've found I get much better braking performance.

Rotate 180 degrees relative to what? I can understand the rotors being removed and rotated/clocked after initial installation, should you find they have unacceptable radial runout. But what's your reference for rotation prior to install that makes them perform better?

Mount new rotors and runout test to least movement. Drive an event for complete heat cycle. Dismount and lathe to true, with minimal removal. (For all you guys that need non-directional grinding - your on your own). Remount with least runout, typical was .0015 .

Saw Extended rotor life. Even saw Pad life improvement.

Cooling is paramount.

YMMV.
