Minor restoration project - Dashboard instruments/cluster question

Hi,

I noticed that there is a hole on the right side facing the steering wheel on the dashboard where most of the ignition switch of non P-Cars are located. I thought this were allocated slots for iginition on a RHD PCar. Please see image with the yellow arrow. What should I suppose to put on there?

I'm trying to restore all missing parts left by the PO and doing some upgrades as well. I've done so far is the A/C conversion to 134, H4 headlight conversion and now restoring the radio. The head unit is a Sony and might be looking for Blaupunkts as well.

I believe that is where the cabin temperature sensor goes if your car is equipped with the automatic heat control. My '86 Carrera doesn't have the automatic heat temperature control and the hole is plugged with a plastic piece.

Yup, that's it. Prior to 86 the temp sensor is mounted above the interior mirror between the two sun visors. Should be a little round grille-looking piece

PET says it's called an 'intake manifold' PN 91157252300

and

'clamping piece for intake manifold' PN 911557252500

Hope this helps.

Thanks guys! Would you know where to get decent plug ins? Its an eyesore seeing a hole on the dash. Cheers!

There are many cars being parted out (used parts forum). I'm sure one will sell you a plug for a couple of $.
