3.2L conversion question

I have a 73 with a 3.2L . The car runs fine but there is one item I want to get resolved.

When I got the car, I believe I was told that the warning lamp in the top of the oil/pressure/level gage flashs continously and that what was needed was a resistance soldered across some terminals. Well I have never sorted it out but would like to now.

Anybody have any idea what I am talking about? I may remember this wrong but... I would still like to figure out why it flashes and what the fix is.

I don't believe it is related to the acutal park brake switch or to the oil pressure. (I think the oil light is at the bottom???)

Thanks for your comments.
