Porsche Parade 2003
I don't know how many of you are members of PCA, but the Suncoast PCA has been selected to host the 2003 Parade. Can anyone think of a better excuse to spend money on your car so that you can show it off?
What is really cool for me is that Saddlebrook(resort that is hosting) is literally ten miles up the road from my house. I was wondering if any of you typically come to the Parade? I think I am going to throw myself into Suncoast PCA(I am currently a member but not too active)to offer help with the planning. I told my wife I was going to offer the guest room to one of you porschefiles and she said I was nuts.(nothing new there) Remember it's not the heat, it's the humidity!! Tampa (home of the 2012 Olympics & the 2003 Porsche Parade) PS the Olympic thing is rumor I started. I've been a member of PCA for 34 years. But Parades? Kind of like high school reunions. Some people like them. Others, like me, don't. Sorry, but I suspect my Parade attending days are over. Any others feel the same way? Just curious...

Parades on my list are "two thumbs up"! An action packed and fun-filled week of activities. I have been to five Parades and all of them have been most enjoyable. The schedule of the Parade week is filled with activities from Concours, tech sessions, rally, autocross, sometimes DE, the banquets, special outings....simply first class event. As a participant you can pick and choose how many events you want to participate in. Tremendous effort is expended to organize the event. Extra activities include golf, fun run, art exhibits, goodie store, last Parade organized a baseball outing to the Cards and the Brewers, dinner cruise on the lake, tours of Miller, Harley, and the famous American Club at Kohler. The best part of Parades is the opportunity to meet others across the nation and talk and visit and enjoy life!! Next Parade is 02 at Boise and 03 at Tampa. Best Regards, Jim Valenti
