just broke a rocker ??????

???? i just snaped off the top of my rocker rt at the valve adjuster bolt it split the top of clean with adjuster bolt in ???is it worth even trying to jb weld it together or is that just a waste of time ?? if i have to remove rocker what size allen wrenches ??? and it can be done without messing with cam ??? and yes i overreved it and heard it then the valve tic so i pulled the cover and buda bing there it was saying hey idiot you didint warm me up enough ! first time in twenty years i did that after she sat all winter in garage!!! whats the best call here guys ??? thanks !!!

Replace the rocker. No other option.

You need a short 5mm Allen key. Undo the bolt and nut going through the rocker shaft and slide it out. It's not hard to do.
No need to mess with the timing but you need to turn the engine over until there's no pressure of the rocker. (loose like a valve adjustment)

Good luck. Hope the valve isn't stuck... That may have been what caused it to break in the first place.

thanks !!! i was going to pull n clean all the plugs and paint rocker box covers ! so ill pull all the plugs and crank it over a few times thanks !!!!!!!!!

I hate to say this but I think you over revved bending the valves. That's why your rocker broke.

Try to move the valve with a screwdriver; it should move relatively easily and smoothly.

If you can't move it, the valve is bent from contacting piston from valve float.

Doubt you broke the rocker without doing valve damage.. hope you got lucky...

JB Weld alone is insufficient to repair the damage. You will want to shore up the repair with some duct tape.

Seriously though, you need a leakdown test.
