Bad Timing

I am in the process of timing my 1970 911T. The specs call for the vacuum to be "disconnected where applicable". Does this hose need to be plugged or simply disconnected ?

If the engine runs ok with the line disconnected, then you don't need to plug it. The line is basically a vacuum leak when disconnected so it might make your engine run rough.

Thanks Andy .

I believe you want to plug or pinch it.

If the motor idles the same with the hose plugged (or attached to the distributor) as it does when left off then I would suspect you have a vacuum leak somewhere.
