M & K muffler
Does anyone know if the 1 in 1 out muffler will bolt directly to the existing system, i.e.,
the cat converter. I realize most would use a bypass or pre-muffler. chris |

The reason I ask, I want better sound quality, maybe a little more volume. Not really that interested in HP gain.

Yes it does though there may or may not be a cone on the back of your converter that will need to be removed if it has it. this is to ensure a proper gasket fitup

mb911,
This is a photo of the cat/muffler on my car. ![]() It appears to funnel down, but looks to me like a new muffler should bolt right on. Chris |

Yes our mufflers will bolt right onto the OEM cat. As Ben stated if there is a cone in the cat it should be removed to bolt flush.

I don't see anything unusual in the picture.

you will not be able to tell unless you take the muffler off. some cats have the cone some do not but either way it is fairly straight forward to remove the cone. It is very simple and M&K has sold 1000's of 1 in 1 outs for bolt on applications.
and no no please do not buy an obx bypass support this site and american manufactures if possible even if not M&K etc and that is my political statement of the year.

Going w/ M&K products. No bypass, start by leaving the Cat in place. Move on to the pre-muffler if
needed. Brian at RarlyL8 has been extremely helpful w/ this process. Chris |
