Hi folks. Someone out there must have a nice pic of a Super Charger installed on their 911 engine? Good lighting and hi-res are a must. I need this for the 911 Engine Rebuilding book. Please post / email if you have one...

There is a local shop that is trying to sell an 89 coupe with a Paxton Supercharger on it. I have been meaning to check it out and take it for a test drive if you know what I mean!!! I have to convince the guy to let me go alone though. Anyway, I can get pics of it no problem if you need them, just have to make the trip on the other side of town. Do you need these by a certain time?

There's a good one in one of the recent 911 and Porsche world magazines.

One of our PCA region (Lincoln Trail) members tracks a '78SC with a Whipple unit installed. I have pictures but will need his OK to pass them along to you.
This car is a living testament of what supercharging can do. He takes fast time of the day every time he shows up at an auto-x, runs the car most weekends on every track in the country, AND drives it on the street. Runs the hell out of the car and will give rides all day long. Best part - the motor hasn't been out (to my knowledge) in a couple of years. Unfortunately, I can't say that for the 915 (but that's another story). I've taken several rides over the years and I gotta say it is impressive. Pulls like a train from idle to redline. If the engine whine didn't give it away you'd swear there was a V8 in the back. Anyone who wants a truly fast street car should consider this. The usable torque is right there, ideal for street driving (and apparently not bad on the track either).

I would need the pic within a month - it's for the book, and must be a print quality picture...

Wayne, can't you just download some of a website if the resolution is high enough? I have a bunch of pictures on mine if so.

What about using pix from the tuners?
I'm sure SOK, Protomotive, and the likes won't mind the free advertisement.
