225/45/17 vs 205/50/17 front tires

Will the 225/45/17 fit my cars front without any issues at all for sure, or should i just get 205/50/17. I have 7x17 inch et23 wheels. The car is slightly lowered in front. 84 carrera

Use 205/50 for the easiest fit, 205/55 x16 on 7ET23.3 can have issues w/ lip clearance 205/50 x17 is a tad taller than 205/55 x16, depending on what you use in back 205/45 x17 is a bit shorter and will thus have a bit more lip clearance
