I replaced the turn signal/high beam stalk on my '86 with a new part from our host. It's not that expensive, easy to change and saves you to fiddle around and do the job numerous times.
I had my engine lid pop open while driving after I replaced the engine lid lift struts. Before the engine lid wouldn't stay open, after the lift struts replacement it wouldn't stay close. The catcher (pin) on the engine lid needed to be adjusted out a little. Again, easy to do.

Congrats to your car, you will love it and become addicted to Porsche cars.

Awesome car, awesome colour! And no tail to boot!! I would change the fluids and then just drive it, fixing small stuff along the way.

Have fun!

Thanks for the kind words, it's been fun getting to know this car, and all I plan to do for now is drive it. There's plenty of cosmetic work to do since it's sat for so long outside, but that's lower on the priority list right now.
