distributor re curve settings

Has anyone got the settings that i should use to recurve the distributor as i am swapping from cis to carbs of a 2.7ltr cis engine ? any help would be good

It depends on what else you do to your engine and the use you intend. If it's a stock 2.7 CIS, you can go with about 33 degrees total advance above 4000 RPM. With my CIS 3.0 engine I use one spring and bent the stops inside the distributor so my advance is about 10 degrees at idle and 30 degrees at 4000 RPM. The numbers in between are not critical especially for a track car.
