I have a single 16"X7" Fuchs wheel with black centers. This wheel was absolutely perfect until it was scratched by the tire installer. The scratch is about 10" long on the facing surface of the wheel. I am considering replacing the wheel if I can get a reasonable offer for the scratched one. The scratch bugs me, but the people that I have shown it to have trouble finding it. What do you think it's worth? A perfect one usually costs about $300.

You can usaually find 7" fuchs in good condition for under $200 ea. I sold a 7" that needed to be refinished, but was 100% straight and true for $125.

Is there any reason it can't be refinished? Is the scratch too deep?
Just curious, Buck |

Hey there,
I just sold a full set of 16 inch 6's and 7's for $550. They needed to be enhanced, but true and strait. Also, I just replaced them with used fuchs, same size, MUCH nicer shape with new rubber (toyo proxys?) for a grand. You should note that I do see singles for sale on ebay very often, so keep your eyes peeled, as I'm sure a decent one will pop up in the next few days or so. Good Luck JON '85 targa |
