WOT switch on a 3.2 - what does it do

Im still learning about the 3.2 after putting in my 68.

I noticed that my throttle doesnt open all the way. It's about 80%. I'm going to have to modify the linkage to get 100%. It's fully adjusted.

What actually happens when the throttle hits the wot switch?

When the throttle is open the last 25%, the WOT microswitch sends a signal to the DME for the program to go into the WOT mode for max fuel/timing. I just had to adjust mine, Steve Wong's site has instructions on how to do this. Adjust the microswitch after you adjust your throttle linkage.

Look under the throttle pedal, you may have a block that limits travel.

Thanks.. However the limited travel is attributed o the fact it's a swb car. I can rectify, just a PITA! Trying to establish if it's worthwhile...

It depends on how you drive, do you ever drive WOT? If so, it's worth it as you're not getting all your ponies. You could be missing as much as 20-30hp.
