cis de-loom question

Currently de-looming the cis plugs off the engine loom , tec question .

Off the alt is three brown wires off one terminal 2 x .5 and one 1.5 , the two smaller head to the cis plugs and the third to the engine blower of which it doubles back to the main plug on the fuse board engine relay.
If this 1.5 is removed all the way back to the plug is there any issues as this leaves the alt terminal with zero connection .

I this explained correctly?

Don't really understand the question, but in the link below is a wiring diagram for a 1977 CIS engine wiring loom.

1977 2.7 engine wiring problems

The brown 1.5 wire on the alternator at D- runs to the heater blower and to the voltage regulator. You are good to remove all 3 of the small brown wires from the D- as long as you are also running an internal voltage regulator. The D- shouldn't have no connections though as it is also the connecting point for the ground wire to the engine case (even though it doesn't show up on most electrical diagrams).

you have got it , the brown runs from the alt via blower (now gone ) into the voltage reg. now i am running a perma tune plus existing items , not sure if i have a internal voltage reg. should i play safe and leave the 1.5 brown in place ?

An internal voltage regulator should be sitting right at the back-bottom of the alternator (next to the electrical connectors you are working with). An external one is normally located next to the CDI box. There is no harm in having the 1.5 brown wire hooked up even if you have an internal regulator, so if you are unsure, just leave it in there. You should be able to do a search on the forums to see what the voltage regulator options look like to help you identify what you have. Or you could post a couple pics of the back of the alternator and the electrical panel.
