Question 2.4 Engine ID Question - MFI, CIS, etc.

I have an engine in a crate with no induction system. By number it is a 1973 2.4 T engine. The heads have the holes for the MFI injectors, just outside the ports, but they are blocked with metal plugs. I understand it was last run on Webers. Is this definitely an MFI engine, or do I need more information? How would the cams be marked?

Thanks.

David,

Does the engine still have a sheet metal cover on the left front side over the MFI drive sprocket? If that toothed drive sprocket is still present ... the cams are still MFI! You can check the TDC overlap intake valve lift values for #1 and #4 to see which cams are present.
