acronym page?
Hi to all! I have been reading for several days and registered minutes ago. The stories are very interesting and helpful. One thing that would help newbies is a sticky acronym page.
I read several posts about the bad DME but can't find what a DME is. I looked through 165 definitions in a general dictionary but none were close to what this part is. If there already is one tell me where is is. Thanks. |

Of course DME is not strictly an acronym.
To be an acronym the initial letters for the term should form a Word. Hence OPEC is an acronym as is WAC but DME isn't. ![]() A list of TLA's would, however, be useful ![]() |

You should add a signature to your account that lists your car & year. As previously stated DME = digital motor electronics (i.e., computer brain). But, depending on your car, you might not have one. CIS cars and earlier do not have a DME.
