Porsche 911 Abbreviations And Acronyms
Ok, I hope this isn't too anal for you old timers. Since I joined the forum last March I have repeatedly run across abbreviations that I didn't have a clue as to what they meant. I'm slowly getting up to speed, but I thought it might be helpful for "newbies", me included to get some help to define the many abbreviations and acronyms that are used in this forum.
I talked to Wayne to see if he thought it was a good idea to create a glossary of these abbreviations. He suggested I throw it out there and see what happens. I could act as the clearing house and updating the posting of the list since I don't believe there's anyway to make this interactive. Please give your description to any or all of the abbreviations, and add others that are out there. I'll compile each answer and include on a master list. If this idea sucks, that's OK too. Just be nice! See my started list: ABBREVIATION MEANING AFM AFR BTW Bump CD CO CIS FWIW FUBAR - :-) IHMO LSD LM-1 LWF MAP SENSORS MSD PMO PO POR-15 PPI RD PANELS RoW SCHNORR WASHERS SMUGGLER'S BOX SWB SSI TWM WVR
