1968 seatbelt

Hi everyone. I just got myself a 1968 912. It has a 4 point seatbelt attached to all sorts of strange places. Looking to see some pictures or get an idea of where the mounting points are for a three point seatbelt. As far as I can gather, (for the driver’s seat) the lower left is low on the b pillar behind the seat, the lower right is just above the shifter coupler panel where the eyelet is, third is on the panel below the rear quarter window (rear seat). I’ve not seen a unmodified picture of the seatbelt so any help would be great. I see a pair of bolts on the b pillar right above the waistline of the car. Is this used?

Thanks

Thanks

A fair amount has been learned about how best to mount seat belts since 1968. If driven frequently, I'd be inclined to have mounts fabricated to hold a modern belt. The 4 point Schroth is designed for street use, and they might have instructions on how to retrofit. Adapting the later retractables is possible, but a bit of a fabrication challenge.

The stock mounts shown are: outside lap mount too high and too far back. Shoulder mount too low. I don't have a good mental picture for the center lap belt mounts. You can weld in mounts in the tunnel, but have to take into account what all is inside the tunnel close to the top sides.

Still probably better than no belts and being pitched out of the car.
