What color should the aluminum rear grill be - when annodized
I'm thinking of getting my aluminum rear grill re-annodized. I'm wondering if I should tell the company a specific color or just black. I've never had anything annodized before and so I don't know if there are different shades of black available or if flat, gloss, satin is an issue.
My '1974 grill is in perfect condition but the annodizing has faded and is looking kind of purple/black. Any advice/tips would be appreciated.

It's a satin black, just ask for some samples of there satin black and match it with the underside of your door trim (less sun effected)
The anodizer I used, had three different levels of gloss they could do.

Leave it be! I love the patina/faded look of your grill.
