Does anyone make 275/35 x 17" tires?

Guys,

I've been reading up on how to maximize my rear tire rubber. It sounds like 275/40 x 17" tires can be fit with some modification but that 275/35 x 17" would be easier. The trouble is that it doesn't look like anyone manufactures 275x35s.

Does anyone know differently?

Nope, the tire manufacturer's only make what they can sell and apparantly there isn't a demand for 275/35 x17

to get the shorter height & wider tire you have to go to 18s

This is just Hoosier sizing but others are mostly pretty similar, 285/30 x18 would be the lower & wider choice but Hoosier also has a quirk not seen in other brands, look at the 255/35 & 275/35 x18 sixes. Notice the tread width? get the 255/35 x18 and you get the same tread width in a shorter tire compared to the 275/35 x18.

I'd look at 255/40 and 265/40 x17 sizes in the brands you are interested in, you may give up a little tread but gain a shorter tire. It's generally a pretty good compromise.

Hoosier has a number of "special" sizes for the R6. That 255 is one of them

Last month, Hoosier announced that they're now offering a 275/35zr17 tire:

Hoosier Tire

If annyone has tried them, please post some feedback! It looks like this could be a good fit for narrow body cars.

I was thinking these would be great for narrow body cars running 17" wheels at the track.
