On my 77 911S the glass part of my side mirrors is starting to vibrate/move which is annoying.
The mirror housing/fixture itself is tight and I have no problem with it. How can I get rid of the vibrating glass issue without breaking anything? I do not know the root cause of the problem. Thank you in advance for you time and help Last edited by maui44; 08-18-2012 at 07:41 PM.. Reason: Upgrade |

My drivers side mirror did the same thing just before it fell out as the glue did not hold after 33 years. Siliconed it back in and no more vibration issues.

+1....except I didn't get to mine fast enough, and it fell out and broke. The replacement glass is expensive, so I went to my local auto glass store cut one from a template for $15 and installed it with silicone.
