Seats recovered / New Carpet installed

Finally got new carpet installed and my seats recovered. Did the carpet myself with help from my neighbor and paid to have the seats done. Both seats and carpet are black...for some reason the pics look a little blue.

Wanted to share a few pics. Very happy with the way it all turned out. I used a "technical" fabric on the seats. I first had experience with it in a FJ Crusier I owned. It's tough and so much cooler than vinyl or leather. Perfect for a car with no A/C.

In the Sun

regards,

Mike

Nice job! Did you find the carpet install to be something reasonable for the average DIY guy, or is there more to it than that? What kind of carpet did you use?

Plenty doable for a DIY guy. Set aside a weekend and don't rush it. Hardest part is the door pockets. I kinda wish I had taken them to a pro but it all worked out ok. I bought the carpet from Bob at AppBiz. Good guy good product

Nicely done. I'm interested in what you used for "technical fabric". Can you share the mfg/type of the fabric?

I will stop by the shop where the fabric was bought and see if I can get the particular info about it. It really is a cool fabric to the touch and as with most things the photos really don't do it justice.
