Recommended Alignment Shop in Milwaukee?

I got "new" wheels about 1.5 months ago and have been monitoring my tire wear. One tire is wearing unevenly, so I think I need an alignment.

Obviously I don't want any Jo-Bob to do the work, but how hard is it to mess up an alignment? I have a shop (Midas) I've been taking my Suzuki to for 2 years without incident - I know the owner and have done tires and oil changes with that car.

Should I look for someone specialty, or do you think a chain franchise shop will handle it alright?

I called a recommended local shop - around $300 for a 4-wheel alignment. From the word-of-mouth from PCA around here, they'd do a great job. Still that is a lot of money considering smaller non-Porsche shops do alignments for under $100.

I'm unsure if there'd be a real danger or difference - does anyone else have experience getting an SC or similar older 911 aligned at a chain franchise shop? What have you paid?

I use a local guy that my Indie Porsche guy recommended and was about $500 to mount tires, road force balance, 4 wheel alignment and corner weight for me in the car.

Four wheel alignment in North Canton at a place called Chassis Systems. $59.
It ain't rocket science. Wrench gets under the car in a pit and does his thing. Nothing fancy - just know-how.

Find an established shop that does alignments - period. Big box stores like GOODYEAR are generally dishonest. Even if they do good work on you application they make a lot of money on BS. Women are easy targets/victims. For that reason alone I steer clear of those places.

Weight balancing is a different story.
