Bad Noise when engaging blower - fan belt slippage?
I've been tracking down more info on my squeal problem, and now have some footage.
Essentially the problem is this - when I engage the blower with the engine off, it blows happily. When I engage the blower while the engine is running, bad noises happen. I suspect the fan belt is slipping due to increased load on the alternator. I am also suspicious that the blower motor is no longer functioning optimally - maybe it has some issues that are contributing to its power draw. I have uploaded both videos to youtube: SC Blower without Engine - YouTube SC Blower with Engine - YouTube I have them uploaded in HD. Does anyone recognize the noise?

you can see the belt is loose, try to turn the fan with the engine off and see if it turns, it should not
