HELP : need clutch cable help in Telluride
Nicks on a cross country trip in his old 911 and is in telluride CO with has a broken clutch cable. Does anyone know the area and a place for repair?

70 and 71 cables are a bit hard to find. they only fit those two years. another thing that is common is the clutch fork pivot bolt in the bellhousing breaks, so he needs to take a good look to be sure if it's the cable or the bolt. meanwhile, he can practice driving without a clutch. not that hard really. hopefully someone in the area can help.

I have a new 71 clutch cable, out in my stash (left over from my 71E resto...how did I end up with two of those?). If Nick needs it, have him PM me with an address and I'll overnight it on Monday....if that is of any help at all. regards, Al
