Rust protection
Hi folks, I can't see the answer to this anywhere. On a solid 911 SC, how do you completely coat the kidney bowl etc in waxoyl? i.e when accessing the kidney bowl people talk about having to cut out the rear panel from the B pillar to the rear arch.
If I just want to spray something in there to lengthen protection, how do I do that. Drill a hole on the inside above the wheel arch? I'd really appreciate advice on this. I want to coat the entire underside and internals with a protectant to at least fight off any small rust issues. Thanks Andrew |

I can't say anything about access to the area you're concerned about, but I will say that of late I've been using CorrosionX and CorrosionX Heavy Duty (no affiliation) and am *very* impressed with their ability to flow out across metallic surfaces. By way of an informal test I shot a quick burst of CXHD onto a piece of angle steel I had in the garage. It's got ~.75" legs, and the resulting spot was about the size of a quarter. Two weeks later a 6" section of the angle was obviously coated, even on the back.
Here's ~3000 words more: Good stuff.
