...you take the engine and trans out, drop the car to the ground and the ride height is about the same!

Just in the middle of an engine swap and had to share that. With the stock T-bars the car went up about 10 inches.

I have 22/29's on my '86. I get a smile from friends when they press down on the front fender of their own 911 or a "normal" car and then try the same thing on the front fender of my 911 - it doesn't move.

There was also a wierd moment when I had both rear wheels jacked up and the fronts on the ground. I decided to raise one side a little higher, and the same side front wheel came off the ground immediately. The car was balanced on only the left front wheel and the jack on the right rear. No give in the front suspension at all. I think the 6 point cage had something to do with that one...

that reminds me...one day on my return from the local autocross, I was haulin ass down the highway when I hit what I thought was a small bump/seam running across all 4 lanes. The car absorbed the shock pretty well considering how stiff the suspension is...then I looked back to see if I had lost anything but could not see past my new pop up tail! The entire deck lid raised up from the jolt, so I pulled over and closed the lid and it has not happend since. NOTE: Did not notice any additional downforce with the new raised tail.

There's a couple of on/off ramps that I can take with enough speed that the lateral G causes the in-dash CD to either skip or stop playing altogther and display "error" on it's screen.
