If not strictly a track car, it will retain more value with steel flairs. Fiberglass is hard to paint, and hard to keep looking nice. Of course, it's got other virtues on the track.

Neither isn't an option, so no vote from me. A better question may be "which would hurt the value of my car less"
Unless they were put there by the factory, hurt the value is more likely than not. Tom |

Now, as to which will COST you more? Probably the steel. I'm among those who think steel flares will reduce the value less than fiberglass. Flares alone don't have that much "Oh, WOW" value these days...

I would suggest steel would be the better long-term solution. Fiberglass has to interface with the parent steel body-panels and will not likely hold up under thermal and body flexing. . .so unless it's a track car, go with steel. I think steel will cost you less in the long run.

I think steel is a better value. I have fiberglass because of budget restraints.
