Eric _Lee had a post a while back about his timings at the Hill Climb event and a recent update. I think so far so good. He still had a "small" leak but nothing he can't live with he said.

Hey Eric,

I'm still having some problems with second gear... considering everything is new in there... I'm still chalking it up to the shift coupler adjustment... I just get so frustrated with the damn thing... any way, other than a cold running, idle miss... the car is running great... I just got done re-readjusting the valves the other night.
I noticed the Fuchs you have for sale... if I wasn't going to B.C in July, I'd probably buy them so I could have a set of track tires. I love the gun metal painted centers.

I just got an email back from Wheel Enhancement today too.
I was asking them if it was at all possible to polish my cast replica C2 wheels... they also said "not really well". SO I'm looking at other options... powdercoating, painting etc.
I've even thought about painting the spokes the same color as my car... if anyone out there is good with Photo shop... I'd love for you to do a number on my car.

Other than that... I'm now saving my funds for the trip in July. It looks like it's going to be a blast!!!

Lee, I'm sure it just needs more adjusting. The 79 i drove a month or so ago, shifted as smooth as my wifes Passat.

Eric,
July is the rain forest SCWDP Roun-Up.

SCWDP Rainforest Round-Up

I note in the preceding posts, mention of the SCWDP Rainforest Round-Up.
So, what is it?
You could check the archives, but in a nutshell, it is this years premier driving and social event for members and friends of the SCWDP. The event is sponsored and organized by the SCWDP Rainforest Region.

To be held on the weekend of July 13-14, the event consists of a 500km road rally/tour, a social evening, and a visit to Whistler, BC for brunch and sightseeing. A pleasure packed weekend, all to take place in beautiful, South Western British Columbia.

So far we have registered participants from all over the Pacific Northwest, Western Canadian provinces, even NorCal !

Guest of Honor is none other than SCWDP Founder and President, Leland Pate.
I'm also working very hard to have another *very* special guest attend...no names for now...lets just say he's one of the most knowledgeable Porsche gurus in the Pac N-West. Fingers are crossed on this one!

This event is all about enjoying your car and the camaraderie of like-minded enthusiasts. There are NO FEES.....just FUN!
All Porsches are invited to play.
If you are interested in participating or need more info, please contact me via e-mail.

I posted a thread a while back about the painting (color match)of the petals(spokes) and pollished background. I would love to see any examples of this as well.

I'd like to see a pic of the gunmetal Fuchs. I have a couple of cans of the Wurth satin black lacquer, but I am afraid fresh new wheel paint might make the rest of my car's paint look tire. My centers have faded to a kind of gunmetal color, and this might look nice for the rest of the wheel, except the rim.
