Question Redo the interior before paint and targa fixed??

Ok I want to repaint my car this winter (funds allowing) With this paint I want to do it right, bare metal, all glass out, engine removed etc. My interior also needs to be redone. My Targa top leaks, I have a new front seal that hasn't been modified and installed yet, also I have a brand new carpet kit (Original Fit interiors) I am debating putting it in unil the top is sealed and paint job is done.

Right now there is NO carpet just seats (like a real race car ) What do you guys think, put it in or wait?

You always wait, period. The interior of a car is always the last thing you finish. Putting it in now means the painters have to take it into account and work around it or even remove it, depending on how they work. Heck, in a best case scenario the interior wouldn't even be in there - the seats, carpets, and door panels would be off. Waiting saves you and them trouble, and next spring you'll have new paint and a nice new interior.

I just redid the Interrior of my car. The Porsche carpet kits aren't too hard to install, and the wait is well worth it.

Wait.

Like the old Ernest & Julio commercial ... "no fine wine before its time".

By all means wait. I had my car in the body shop for some small repairs and i got it back with a fine layer of dust on every surface you could imagine, inside and out.
