MFI Throttle bodies

During 1973 were there different size throttlebodies depending on which model you had, T, E, S?

Yes ... and the biggest was used on both 'S' and RS engines!

Cam,

I have reason to believe that 'T' were 30 mm, 'E' were 32 mm, and that 'S' and RS were 36 mm at the junction to the heads.

Thanks guys.

I know they can be bored out - my "new" engine has been bored to 40mm . I was just curious as to how much boring that entailed (not done by me).

Question port sizes

I thought the 2.4 T and E both used 32mm ports, S used 36mm. Wouldn't it make sense to use the same throttle bodies for T and E?

The Plot Thickens...

Ahhhhh -- now it is starting to make sense. Warren recently took some intake port measurements from a 2.4T head that he had. I was expecting the ports to be 32 mm's. But in fact the were 29 mm's which really had me scratching my head. This could be confirmation of another glitch in BA's data tables.

Has anyone got some 2.4T (MFI) intake manifolds that they can measure?

Does anyone have some 2.2T heads who can measure their port size?
