Try OG Racing www.ogracing.com or Northstar Motorsports http://www.northstarmotorsports.com/
If you're looking for more of a permanently-installed fire system, Stable Energies http://www.stable-energies.com/ is also worth a browse. I've purchased equipment and safety gear online from all 3 with good results. YMMV of course. Cheers, Chris C. |

I used a halon extinguisher and mounted the bracket to my roll bar with with SS hose clamps. I used some thick rubber ( a modified fernco fitting) to use underneath the clamps to guard against scratching.

I bought a 3.5lb halon fire extinguisher for about 20 of your dollars. It came with a mount that can easily be mounted to bar or panels. It's quit evident how to mount when you see it.
To get the great price I called a small company that sells to restaurants,garages,schools.... and asked for halon. They said they don't make them anymore but had a few used. I drove down and picked best looking one. No scratches but needed cleaning. I now have one in my car, garage, kitchen and at work. For that price can't go wrong. ------------------ Joseph '86 T-look |

Joseph,
That wae an AMAZING BARGAIN you got! I've never even heard of used extinguishers, except for the collectible chrome/brass soda acid models that are considered antiques by fanciers! Fortunately for me, I got a couple of 5 lb Halon 1211 bottles on sale for around $100 ea. about 15 years ago from Karousel Racing, and have never had to use either one, yet! ------------------ Warren Hall 1973 911S Targa 1992 Dodge Dakota 5.2 4X4 parts hauler |
