993 no spark from coil

been lurking on this site a while but now have a serious need. recently installed a 1995 3.6 non-variocam engine in my 1981 SC track car. used the Patrick fly wheel but not their entire kit. engine runs well but does not get spark from the right side (as you look at the engine) coil pack. got good power to both top-side terminals but nothing coming out the coil wire going into the distributor. installed brand new coil backs and same problem. am completely stumped. any help is appreciated
thank you

Interesting problem. Have you tried swapping the coil wires (black and green I think) from one coil to the other? I'd swap the exciter connectors (maybe 993 only used one, can't remember) as well to see if the problem is in the wiring,
