Should there be any play in the steering wheel?
I just noticed this and don't know if it's normal. I can turn the wheel left or right and there's about 1/4 inch of play before feeling resistance from the tires. This is while the car is parked of course. Normal or not? Thanks.

1/4 inch is nothing... I'd call that better than most.
Is there any play up/down or forward/aft? That's more worrying.
