Intro and 1969 E fix up

Hi,

My name is Alex, and i've been around pelican for a long time, but never vary active. I have meet some of you guys i'm sure. For anyone that was on the Targa California I was in the only Camaro (Green 69 Z28 clone) with my Dad. I recently sold a 550 Spyder Rep for a real Porsche and have a 996TT also.
I'm in San Diego but get to Orange County a lot for Cars and Coffee and other events there.

I Bought a 1969 911E that was posted here and on BAT last month. After purchasing the car and having it shipped out I finally got it Sat. Knowing the car was going to need work, but not sure of the extent of what I was going to do or what direction I was going to take the car we cleaned her up and made a game plan. Sat afternoon we started disassembling the car for a respray, some trim delete and a simple make over. The pictures show what we ended up with by late morning Sunday.

A couple of questions I have are, the front fenders where short hood fenders that someone grafted on extensions too and are not up to par with what I want to do with the car, so is fiberglass my best bet, or is it possible to find a decent sent of correct fenders? Also when the SC flare where grafted in then installed the SC torsion bar access I think it is? I want to remove that and weld in the proper smaller holes, where would I be able to find so patch panels or someone with a donor parts?

After stripping the car down I think there are some parts I will be selling later on, but if anyone is interested I have a Weltmiester harness bar in black powder coat (going to a roll bar), the lower side moldings and rubber trim, front and rear bumper molding, rubber trim and reflectors and the tail light lenses and front signal lenses. Everything is in good condition for a normal driver except the front signal lenses are a little worse. I would also let go of the fenders is someone has a project they would work on?

Thanks, does anyone use the 69 door handles and mirror or swap them for the 70-73 version?
