Seems to me that there may be more than one discussion going on here.

1.) Does the fanatic e-mail system work?
and
2.) Is there a problem with E-mail notification for responses to those creating threads on the BBS

SeaDweller - is the e-mail address listed in your Profile (USER CP) your 'fanatic' address or another?

In my profile, I have my prodigy address listed as my e-mail address, so if I start a thread, that's where the notifications get sent (assuming I put a check mark next to Email Notification).

As for my 'fanatic' e-mail account, it receives mail just fine. However, I would like to have all mail sent there forwarded to my Prodigy address automatically - that does not work.

For the people that the email notification doesn't work, can you get the 'Recommend a friend'feature to work from our home page?

Are you using any blocking software or spam-busting software?

I can say that nothing has changed in my profile over the time I've participated in this BB, other than the fact that e-mail notification worked for a long time, and then simply stopped working at some point. I only have one personal e-mail address.

I use Zone Alarm, but I've had it disabled all day today, so that doesn't seem to be the issue. I'll try the "recommend a friend" feature to see if that works......

email notification works fine for me
 

gotten 2-3 emails telling me there have been posts to my thread. looks ok to me
