A bucket full of fasteners.
(There ain't gonna be no rebuild without 'em!)

Superman 06-06-2002 08:16 PM

Bearings.

Victor 06-06-2002 08:19 PM

About 13L of Oil.

Jim Sims 06-06-2002 08:25 PM

Superman, Surely you remember that seal carrier between the chain case and cam tower! Case through bolts, nuts, washers and o-rings. There's plenty more besides fasteners. :D Jim

A case of Becks and a pair of vice grips.

BlueSkyJaunte 06-06-2002 08:36 PM

...don't forget the 20-lb. sledge for final adjustments.

emcon5 06-06-2002 08:39 PM

Distributor cap and sump plate?

Tom

Now this, kiddies, is a real "exploded motor".
You don't want to know what the insides look like.....

I'll tell you what's missing!

Alloy 930-spec valve covers to replace those leaky Mg units... :(

Jim Sims 06-06-2002 08:55 PM

Doug, Send that puppy out to CE; they'll weld it up, line bore it, put in case savers the size of your big toe and it'll be good as the day it was squeezed into the mold. :D Jim

Wayne 962 06-06-2002 09:01 PM

Not so fast...

Those are Turbo valve covers - just painted black.

Wrist pins are inside the pistons...

I reckon "my" (fortunately not!) pic is better, just not as dirty :D :D :D

Doug E 06-07-2002 02:36 AM

Wayne - out of curiosity, what causes the type of damage shown in the "scare tactic" picture above?

VenezianBlau 87 06-07-2002 03:53 AM

...Wayne and his minions scurry through the night and swipe your intake valves...
